Free Comic Book Day Recap

A lineup of people for Free Comic Book Day in London. A person wearing a blue suit and another wearing a black jacket are holding hands

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Free Comic Book Day celebrated 15 years on Saturday, and London was full of comic fans and cosplayers alike. This was my second Free Comic Book Day, and it will not be my last.

Dundas from Richmond to Clarence was shut down for the event, and they brought a Batmobile and the Ghostbusters Van.

Naturally, I posed with both.

Of course, I wasn’t the only Harley Quinn there, but there were a couple of different versions of cosplays. I like Harley as a character because she is just that versatile.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to go to every single comic shop in London
participating, but we went to LA Mood, Neo Tokyo, the Comic Book Collector and Heroes.

A bunch of comics, including Legend of Chun Hyang at the top

I scooped up 16 comics. I thought it was 17 at first, but still a decent number of comics:

-Legend of Chun Hyang
– Street Fighter V
– The Legend of Korra
-Revenge
-The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King
– Suicide Squad
– Pokemon
– Bruce Lee the Dragon Rises
– Spider Man: With Great Power
– Marvel the Hip Hop Covers
– Harley Quinn (Halloween Comicfest)
– Batman in Detective Comics issue #622
– The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina issue #1
– The New Teen Titans issue #1 1985
– Spiderwoman issue #2
-Love and the Rockets

Pretty solid line up, though I do wish I grabbed the Grumpy Cat one when I had the chance.

Overall, it was a great way to spend Saturday, despite the rain at the end.

How did you celebrate Free Comic Book Day? Let me know!

  1. We, my wife and I, checked out Dundas, then went down Richmond to L.A. Mood. I think this may have been the best Free Comic Book Day ever. It was really entertaining, lots to see and buy!
